Day 5 - Cristina Piazza

Dear Fans,
Today we all woke up bright and early with the birds, enjoyed breakfast, walked across the street and dug our toes into BEACH SAND! As soon as we got situated on the beach, we were approached by vendors selling jewelry, sunglasses and other interesting trinkets. Of course, we could not resist! We spent all morning body surfing in the waves, playing soccer in the sand and catching rays. Lunch was served at a restaurant right on the beach, then we returned to our beach activities for the rest of the afternoon. We all decided we were brown/red enough so we headed back to the hotel to shower and rest, then we hopped on the bus to go to dinner. We enjoyed another meal from a delicious buffet and more meat on sticks. Once we finished dinner, we meandered around a nearby mall. It had been a long day, and we were all satisfied with our purchases so we returned to the hotel for our last night in this part of Sao Paulo. I gathered a group consensus and we all agree that this relaxing day was the perfect way to unwind and recover from all of the excitement from the past few days of volleyball. We can't wait to do it again! Also, we want to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all the moms that we cannot be with and remind them that we love them so much!
