OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami University synchronized skating teams are heading to different competitions this weekend. The senior team travels to Rouen, France for the French Cup International while the collegiate and junior teams compete in Nashville, Tennessee. Both competitions are taking place on Friday through Sunday, Feb. 1-3.

The RedHawks have been successful so far this season. In early December, the collegiate team came in first place at the Dr. Richard Porter Classic. The RedHawk senior short program brought home a second place finish at the same event.

The collegiate team skated to another victory at the Mid-American Championships and Junior World Qualifier on Saturday, Jan. 12 and Sunday, Jan. 13. The RedHawk senior team also came in first. Both the senior short and junior short teams placed second.

The junior team placed third at the Junior World Qualifer with a fourth place finish in the free skate competition.

Following this weekend, all synchronized skating teams will travel to Providence, Rhode Island for the U.S. National Championships. The competitions will take place Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 21-23.
