OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University sophomore goalkeeper Krista Pace has been named to the Mid-American Conference All-Academic Team for the 2007 season.

The award is voted on by the MAC schools' faculty athletic representatives. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of their sport's contests.

Pace (Toronto, Ont.- Birchmont Park), after just her sophomore season, is already the program's all-time leader in saves with 200 and set the school's single-season mark with 120 this year. The Toronto, Ont. native had three shut outs on the year and shared in another. She set a career-high with 13 saves in a 1-0 loss against Toledo on Oct. 13 and ranked second in the MAC at season's end with 6.67 saves-per-game.

A marketing major, Pace maintains a 3.27 grade point average.

The RedHawks ended the year with a 6-10-3 record and a 4-6-1 mark in conference play.
