OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University senior forward Alyssa Nye has been named to 2007 Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-West Region Second Team as announced on Wednesday, Nov. 14.

Nye (Bernville, Pa.) led the RedHawks to the MAC Tournament Championship game and a 6-4 mark in the Mid-American Conference in the 2007 season. She led the RedHawks in points and goals with 29 points on 12 goals and five assists. She also became Miami's all-time leader in assists with 27 in her career. She also ranks fourth in program history in career points with 89 and sixth in goals scored with 31.

Nye's 29 points in the 2006 and 2007 season both rank ninth on MU's single-season points list, while her 11 assists in 2006 rank second all-time for RedHawk field hockey.
