OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University junior Pat Sovacool has qualified for the NCAA Cross Country Championship after his 12th place finish at the Great Lakes Regional on Saturday at Indiana University.

Sovacool, from Lakewood, Ohio, finished Saturday's 10K race in 31:10.73. On the year, he has won three meets and finished fourth at the MAC Championships at Central Michigan. The junior has been named to the MAC All-Academic Team for the second-straight year, first team All-MAC, and MAC Runner of the Week three times. In Oct. 22's Sports Illustrated, Sovacool was featured in the "Faces in the Crowd" after winning his third-straight race of the season.

The NCAA Championships will take place on Nov. 19 with the men's race starting at noon on the campus of Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind.
