Miami Men's Track Competes at Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Miami University men's track and field team competed at the Indiana University Hoosier Hills Invitational on Friday in Bloomington, Ind. In the 3000 meters, Pat Sovacool and Michael Veatch finished second and third, respectively, with times of 8:13.69 and 8:16.83. Kevin Dwyer was sixth in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing in 8.53, while Matt Carney ended 10th in the mile run with a time of 4:23.39. Jason Coniglio finished eighth in the 60-meter dash in 7.07 seconds. Cedric Diakabana was third in the 600-meter run at 1:21.58, while Justinn Eddie finished seventh in the 200-meters with a time of 22.36. The RedHawks 4X400 meter relay team came in fourth place in 3:24.21. Dan Beach was fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 16.99 meters and finished 13th in the shot put at 13.78 meters. Mitch Reynolds leaped 6.64 meters in the long jump, good for eighth place while Michael McCarty finished in a tie for 10th at 6.61 meters. Alex Boiwka was ninth in the pole vault at 4.55 meters, while Travis Brumm cleared 2.00 meters in the high jump, taking fourth place.
