In their final tune-up before the Mid-American Conference Championships May 2-4, Miami University's men's golf team heads to the FirstEnergy Intercollegiate on April 26 at the Windmill Lakes Golf Course in Ravena, Ohio. The FirstEnergy Intercollegiate is a one-day, 36-hole tournament.

The RedHawks are coming off a strong finish at the Rutherford Intercollegiate--placing second among the 12-team field--and look to continue their momentum this weekend. It was Miami's third top-two finish of the season.

Three RedHawks placed among the top 15 with freshman Nathan Sutherland leading the way with a second-place individual finish. Sutherland has led the RedHawks in six tournaments this season and tied his best finish at the Rutherford Intercollegiate. Sutherland tied for second at the Belmont Fall Shootout earlier this year.

Last year, junior Ben Wood won a four-hole playoff to capture medalist honors at the FirstEnergy Intercollegiate. Wood finished the tournament at one-under par 215.

Miami's lineup for this weekend consists of juniors Ben Bastel, Aaron Crist, Mark Robinson and Ben Wood and freshmen Michael Drobnick and Nathan Sutherland.

In addition to Miami, the field at the FirstEnergy Intercollegiate includes Akron, Bowling Green, Cleveland State, Dayton, Kent State, Northern Illinois, Oakland, Ohio, Saint Francis, Toledo, Youngstown State and RCGA (Junior National Team).
