OXFORD, Ohio--Miami University's men's basketball program will hold their annual postseason banquet to honor the 2007-08 RedHawks at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8 in the Shriver Center Multi-Purpose Room.

To attend, please RSVP by Tuesday, April 1. Cost of the dinner banquet is $15 per person. Please call 1-866-684-2957 or 513-529-3924 to make reservations.

With an invitation to the College Basketball Invitational, the RedHawks made their fourth-straight postseason appearance and earned the 24th postseason berth in program history. Senior forward Tim Pollitz became just the eighth player in program history to participate in postseason play all four years.

The RedHawks advanced to the Mid-American Conference Tournament semifinals before being edged in a hard-fought battle with eventual MAC Tournament Champion Kent State, 49-47.

Miami had three players selected to the All-MAC teams, second most of any program in the MAC and the most by a Miami team since 2005-06. Tim Pollitz captured All-MAC First Team honors for the second straight year, the first since Wally Szczerbiak to do so, and became the first player since Devin Davis to earn All-MAC honors three years. Junior forward Michael Bramos captured his first all-league honor, being named to the All-MAC Second Team, while junior guard Kenny Hayes was an Honorable Mention All-MAC selection in his first season with the Red and White.

Additionally, Tim Pollitz was named Second-Team All-District 10 by the NABC.

Tim Pollitz tied a single-season record for games started, which he and Nathan Peavy set in 2006-07, starting all 33 games for the RedHawks. Tim Pollitz, junior guard/forward Eric Pollitz, Hayes and sophomore guard Alex Moosmann tied a Miami single-season record for games played, playing in all 33 contests.

Additionally, Tim Pollitz placed his name on the Miami single-season top 10 lists for minutes played (1,117 to rank third) and field goals (215 to rank 10th), while Bramos placed his name on the single-season lists for 3-point field goals (65 to tie for fourth), blocked shots (42 to rank seventh) and free-throw percentage (.841 to tie for 10th).

Tim Pollitz finished his career ranked ninth in career scoring (1,411), second in career field goal percentage (.563), fourth in career field goals (613) and ninth in career minutes played (3,353). Bramos currently ranks third in career blocked shots (97) and ties for second in career free-throw percentage (.820).

As a team, the RedHawks compiled 110 blocked shots, which ranks third on Miami's single-season list.
