Miami University head men's basketball coach Charlie Coles will not be at the RedHawks' game tonight (March 4) at Kent State. Associate head coach Jermaine Henderson will be filling in for Coles as he did for Miami's March 1 win against Ohio.

Coles was not feeling well on Saturday and missed Miami's game against Ohio. Given Coles' medical history, his doctors have been running tests as a precautionary measure.

"I have great confidence in our student-athletes and staff to continue to play as they did on Saturday against Ohio," Coles said. "We have worked hard all year to continue to get better as a team, and I look forward to being with them once my doctors release me to return to the team."

Coles, who is in his 12th season at the helm of the Miami program and his 18th as a head coach in the Mid-American Conference, is the league's second all-time leader in MAC wins (183).
