What Is Red Alert

Miami's Team Red Alert is the student group igniting school spirit and tradition on our campus. Miami's varsity athletic teams continue to build on a tradition of winning with integrity. Known nationally as the "Cradle of Coaches", Miami's student-athletes have earned more conference championships than any other MAC school while recently being ranked #2 in the NCAA's Academic Performance Ratings of Division I-A athletic programs. These strong traditions give Miami students, alumni, faculty and staff a varsity athletic program in which to be proud.

The goal of Red Alert is to bring students together to create one of the best home site advantages in college athletics while leading the spirit, loyalty and tradition on Miami's campus.

Upon joining for $10, each member receives an individually-coded HawkCard, sponsor coupons, and a Red Alert T-shirt. The HawkCard can be scanned in at Miami varsity athletic events (volleyball, soccer, football, ice hockey, men's and women's basketball, baseball and softball) to build each member's loyalty score. At certain score levels (3, 6, 10, 15, 25, 35 and 50) members are given rewards.

In addition to the T-Shirt and HawkCard benefits, Red Alert members are also given the opportunity to be a part of Ricoville. Ricoville is Red Alert's own seating section at Miami's new Cady Ice Arena. Other benefits for Red Alert members include; tailgates, chalk talks, viewing parties and more.
